I know the 12 is desinged to fish at about 12 ft. on a ten count fall. But how deep will it fish on an ultra slow retreive on 20-25lb line.

you can fish it at any depth, you just have to give it time to sink there.

The rof 12 is tough to fish in 40+ feet. Plain and simple.

As Josh said, The rof 12 is tough to fish in 40+ water. I would use the ROF 16 for deeper water.
