Sorry had to edit the background,to protect the innocent ;-)

This girl fell for the huddleston(ROF 12) hince my new confidence bait. It was right around the same time Castro caught his hawg, it was pre-front with the barometer dropping, perfect time not to be at work :-)

She weighed 11.2 in this photo but just two weeks earlier she ate Woodchuckers 9" stocker trout and was ONLY 10.4 ;-)

Yes this fish was caught twice in two weeks and pretty much in the same exact spot, very territorial or a damn good ambush spot?As soon as she hit I thought this can't be the same fish, but as soon as she was in the net the fins were a dead giveaway. There had just been a trout plant the day i was there and she had already put away a few. Lucky for me!!

So C&R no doubt works and the bass don't seem to mind much.

I will try and post the other pic of this bass but I don't have access to it right now, plus i had a hard enough time trying to post this one. Thanks Woodsac for the help!!

Killer, congrats on the PB! I love hearing those C&R stories, two weeks apart is pretty interesting.

Way to go Trev... Must of been something in the air?

And yes, all condition were perfect.
The being ON feeling was floating around that day.

Also hearing others that were fishing on Friday confirmed that
Fish were on the bite between 8-12 feet

After seeing the two other fish that my buddy Joe had caught.
Both of their insides of there mouths were red.
I made the decsion to use one of my red color divers.
My fish came off a long grassy flat in 10 feet of water.
My lure was ticking the bottom on a slow retrive when she grabbed hold of it.
The inside of her mouth was also red from eating craws.

Keep the C.P.R. going. :)

I dident belive it untill we got pics side by side and the dorsal fin has a piece missing and the tail has the same two slits one bigger than the other.Consisering the size of this impoundment its pretty wierd, but it was caught from the same spot,go figure. But hey cnr definatly works, and next time Im gonna release a toad in undisclosed locals only. You deserve it bro,you have been puttin in some hours.
It was the same senerio when I stuck her,pre frontal conditions with a falling barometer, hmmm is there a pattern here. And I beleive both times she was in 10ft of water. And I do believe we have a front on its way right now,too bad I have to work.
And you can see she dident have the little pot belly when I stuck her, couple of troutskys met there doom since.
Billy.

Nice fish! I'm curious if you rigged a stinger on the Huddlestone? I really don't want to because I think it will take away from the realism, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do. I ask because on that same day I had three really solid hits but no hook ups. Those were all on the 12 footer. Do you think that the top hook can interfere with the fish trying to swallow. I might just cut the top hook off. See Ya

Thanks.. I have'nt rigged up a stinger on the 12'. I just put a 2/0 hook on the bottom eyelet, it gets fouled hooked sometimes while casting but not too often. This fish was all top hook, right in the top lip. I caught two more the next day, little pot belly bass and both hooked the same way. I don't think you should cut it off, I would just add a hook to the bottom, if you have'nt already, and just keep truckin'.
When a Bass comitts to a bait it will just inhale it, it was funny to see this 8" bait all folded up inside the little basses mouth. They looked so full and were still trying to eat more!

Hey guys. Are ya'll imbedding the treble in or are you letting it hang freely. I think I like it imbedded better.

Here is a detailed pic of the huddleston ROF 5 and ROF 16 next to a live trout.

That Live trout looks awesome...i need one :)

I have just left mine hanging, also I have put a 1/0 hook on now, looks like it should work just as well and maybe less foul-ups while casting.
