Today I went fishing at the pond that I go to about 2 times every week. Well today was like no other. It started slow and i was circling around the tiny pond. I see some huge swirls, thinking I just spooked a fish.
Well every 20 seconds there would be another swirl. SO i creep up to the swirls water and see to beautiful bass making a ruckus. Well i tried every lure i could think of and did not get very much of intrest. The i decide to go big. I tied on my mattlures bluegill and flipped it right on the bed. After 15 munites i finally got the smaller one to bite, 3.3 pounds- citation bass in MD. Well once i had that one in the water i was able to annoy the bigger one into biting- 4.7 pounds. I continued this through the next 1 and 1/2 hours and was able to get 2 more bass, 5.7 and 3.0 lbs.
Thats 16 pounds of bass (all of which were citation) in a maryland pond, in 2 hours!!!!! All caught on mattlures bluegills
Thanks soo much mattlures for giving me my first true bedfishing experience, and my best swimbait day ever!!!!!
GOD BLESS
BEN
PS: sorry if I mislead you by saying i caught 16.7 pounds:P

Is there a particular pattern bluegill that works better than the other. For instance does the male one work better than female one?or does it really doesnt matter?

There are subtle differences between them but I'm not sure if it really matters. I have one of the Male's and one of the Sunfish. I think I need to get me a Crappie too:-) .
