yes at the camp store. i camped there untile sunday. the stocking day i had a fish that ran about 15lbs 30ft from the shore! then he popped off i was so mad. that was on a slammer. i had one hit a sidewinder. i got one ok striper on a slammer the day after they stocked, it was my first cast of the day. i got a ton of trout the rest of the trip. one kid got one on a castaic swimbait 8". then a guy got a few nice ones on a ac type lure. for trout almost everything was working. the only time people were catching striper was early morning and late in the day. all the fish were caught at launch ramp 2.

Thanks for the report....... Sounds like you had quite a bit of action. The points out there can be brutal(depending on ever changing water levels)The way the shore line is like shelves, those fish really know how or seem to know how to run you right across those edges and break you off.Due to that possibility i always use at least 20lb line and just muscle those fish to the surface and don't let them run on you.But putting all that pressure will cause you to lose a fish every once in awhile,it just happens.Definetly sucks though.
Keep trying that place, like you said early or late and you'll get a nice fish.
