Anyone know if they are going to continue to plant trout after the closure?
I wonder how this closure (and other potential closures) will affect the AB7 hatchery bill, which plans to stock an additional 1 million pounds of trout per year, phased in from 7/1/07 to 7/1/09. Anyone have any insight?

Yup. They did. Kinda contradicts the whole safety thing when they plant a bunch of slimeys that could very well carry the mussels if they come out a hatchery with state water or infected bird o' prey. And the bite is just stupid right now! According to my friend Sean down at J&T, guys are getting big fish on friggin' nightcrawlers on there. The fish did their usual thing for the trout; they were absolutely smashing them up for the first three days after a plant, then not touching a trout bait for like a week. My buddy is going to fish soon, hopefully he'll stick some pigs for me while I watch the beautiful day outside waste away as I sit in class x(
