#7132, "Matt Lures Baby Bass Report"

Fished a private lake in East Texas last week with our iniital success coming on Horny Toads and swimming Hula Grubs when I decided to try out my recently acquired Mattlures Baby Bass. Threw it maybe five times without success, and then it was "Bam, Bam, Bam." Boated six bass in short order including two on successive casts. Finished with twelve bass from 1.5 to 4.8 pounds with most in the 3+ pound neighborhood. The 4.8 was the large bass for us for the afternoon. The Baby Bass was the most productive bait per cast of any of the baits tried that afternoon. They really hit the bait, often swallowing it fairly deep, but it was always easy to remove. Easy bait to throw and fish compared to some others. With twelve bass in about an hour and 20 minutes, I'm a believer. Caught bass at ~2.5 - 3.0 feet deep and then near the surface over submerged hydrilla. (Tried my M.S. Slammer right at dusk for ten+ minutes in hopes of attracting a much larger bass but did not get any interest in this short time period.)

Outstanding catchin'!!!

It too is my favorite and most productive Bass bait. I havn't caught as many as y'all in that short a time but I've caught dozens of Bass this year with one ranging from 1.5 lbs to my new PB, a 9 lb even Bass.
