Todd, ya I'll be in the front if I can borrow a boat! Maybe I'll buy one in a couple weeks when I'm 40g's richer :P . That's after I win the co-angler side of the FLW on the Potomac ;) . Hopefully I don't get it handed to me like I did on Beaver.

You guys should really come out and fish the federation next year. All the tournaments are close, except for Oroville, and they are cheap too. You don't need a boat to fish and most of the time I don't prefish. It's also the only way most of us have a chance of making the classic. How many of you buy a lotto ticket? You have about the same chance making the classic but if you don't play.......... Talk to you guys later, Pat.

PS. John, great job this year!!!

Well, this was the second year Ive fished tournaments in the Fed, actually only the second year Ive fished tournys. I cant say Im happy with my year, but hey, I made it to the TOC. Unless I buy a tourny boat by next year, Im done being a backseater, just doesnt work for me. Im amazed at Pats success as a non-boater. Pat, I dont know how you do it. Youve obviously got the mindset, and I havent been able to find that as a non-boater. With that said, Im fairly convinced that R3 has some of the best non-boaters and boaters in the state.

Im seriously thinking of fishing the TOC as a boater. I just gotta figure out how to get a boat. Maybe Mr. Powers will lend me his (ya gotta work on him for me Pat:o ). John showed amazing consistency this year, he was a great draw and I enjoyed fishing with him very much (dude, I still talk about your turbo approach to Rodman and how hard I had to concentrate to clear your windshields, hit a small target, and get the bait in before getting hung! Ok, I almost broke your windshield, I still feel bad about that). Im cheering for ya at Melones, Im certain youll move on.

Me? Ill go down in flames at Melones with a swimbait tied on! LOL.

Swimbaits at Melones are a good idea right now, just not the monster ones you are used to throwing. The bass up there right now a following schools of bait which are 3-5 inches long. Feel free to e-mail me if you want more info thehistorydude@hotmail.com

Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have-yous
