Gissom is a small man made oil island off of Long Beach. It is right in front of the downtown area where the Grand Prix will b this weekend. I will be fishing for halibut until sundown, then moving over to the island / rocks for some sand, calico, and spotty action. I got a partner tonight but all are welcome. It's a great place to float tube.

Tight Lines,
Terry G.

If you haven't already, put this on the Salt board. More guys from down there visit that board.
Tight lines,
Wade

Don't worry. You didn't miss much. The bite was real slow probably because of a little red tide. Only a couple of bass each. No flatties at all. Parking and traffic was very difficult. Most of the downtown area is crippled with detours because of the Grand Prix events.

Tight Lines,
Terry G.

Hey Terry,

Do you know of the web-site "Baytubers.Com". That's their stomping grounds. I'm not sure if I've ever seen your name on the board or not. Seems like I have though.

Whats the deal with this red tide?

I'm not real sure on what it is???

Maybe this is more of a saltwater board question?

Just lazy but curious :o Might learn something

It's an algae bloom that depletes the water of oxygen(and fish).

If I'm not mistaken.

I have fished with them before. Most of them are pretty good guys and great fishermen. I stopped fishing with them for my own reasons that would do no good to discuss on the forum. Not because of what anyone did... just for my own reasons. When Grissom is hot, it's HOT! When it's not, stick to watching T.V. or playing America's Army!

Tight Lines,
Terry G.

Goes back to being a basic

If you see red in the ocean
Time to get out!

That’s of course you still have your legs }(

Love it
Just the thought of binging in a place where you are part of the food chain.

Kind of what a top water tourney frog would feel like :9

No meow here
