#9205, "Digital Scales: Berkley vs Rapala"

I know the Berkley scales are pretty popular amongst many of you but I saw the Rapala one on sale for $26.99 (both versions, 15 and 50 lbs).

So does anyone have a Rapala? Has anyone had experience with both brands? Which is more accurate and durable?

I've got a Shimano spring scale, which is quite nice, but I wanna get something a bit more compact and precise.

I've had a couple of them for about 10 years and they seem to be pretty good. They're not perfect (as with most scales) but they are pretty consistent. I'm not sure how good they are on the higher weights but it's worked for me.

Thanks for the input, Todd. I just looked up the Berkley equivalent at Cabelas--the description says it runs off a sealed lithium battery (which should last a long time, but it's essentially a disposable scale) and sells for $29.99. The Rapala is probably comparable in quality/accuracy but it runs off a 9v battery and is a few bucks cheaper so that's what I ended up ordering...
