December 7, 2005 7:00 PM Monthly Meeting Results
In attendance were 22 members and 1 non-member. William Perez the Club President opened the meeting with Russ Stansbury the Club Treasurer. Also present was Rich Caro, Club Vice President, Scott Beem the Club Tournament Director Assistant, Mike Ayers Club Web Master, Dan Chester Club Web Stats Volunteer and the other members and non-member.
1. Oars or No Oars: It was decided that Oars would be allowed during ALL SCBBBC tournaments.
2. Tournament Cancellation – Reschedule: It was decided that in the event of a cancellation of a Tournament it would automatically be rescheduled for the following weekend unless that is a holiday where it will be the weekend after that. The original check in, blast off and weight in times would remain the same.
3. Bylaws Revised 11/30/05: It was decided to accept the revised Bylaws presented at the meeting by John Stangle for 2006.
4. Public Awareness / Sportsmanship If any one from the public or a club officer views another member exhibiting un-sportsman like conduct, or in any way conduct un-becoming to the club's values as addressed in the adopted bylaws, prior to, during or after a tournament, that persons conduct will be addressed by the officers and voted upon as addressed in the bylaws.
5. Earning Points for Donations (Out of Town Paid Members): It was decided there will be, NO make-up meeting points given out to out-of-town members who wish to make up points by doing work for the club or getting a sponsor or providing retail product for the club.
It was also decided to eliminate any points awarded for attending the club’s monthly meetings.
6. Increasing Event Fees: It was decided to increase the basic entry fee for tournaments from $ 20.00 to $ 30.00 with the options remaining the same $ 5.00 for Big Fish & $ 5.00 Winner Take All ($ 40.00 including Options).
7. Decreasing Amount of people that get cash winnings eliminating $20 prizes: It was decided to change the PAYOUTS charts - the minimum payout will be $30.00 (based upon being = to the entry fee). The division of the $30.00 entry fee will be $20.00 goes to the payout and $ 10.00 will go towards the club's fund. The PAYOUT chart will be based on a 25% payout. (The club Treasurer will update the PAYOUT charts).
8. Weight in All Fish – Even if possible that a Disqualification could occur: It was decided that all legal fish brought to the scale 13" or more will be weighted, regardless of a possible disqualification.
9. Increase of Annual Dues: It was decided to increase the membership dues from $ 40.00 to $ 50.00 for 2006.
10. Re-location of TOC closer to Sonoma County: It was decided not to have our TOC in Sonoma County; it will remain open to ANY body of water.
11. Pre-Registration / Pre-Payment: It was decided to not have or require Pre-Registration or Pre-Payments. It was also decided that there will be NO special provision or discount given to members who prepay their entry fees or membership dues in advance.
12. Annual Summer BBQ / Family Appreciation Event: It was decided that we want to have some type of event and will be considered during scheduling for 2006 at the January Meeting.
13. Trolling Motors allowed on Bigger Waters: It was decided there would be NO Trolling Motors allowed during any SCBBBC tournament. It was also decided there would be NO Kayaks allowed during any SCBBBC tournament.
14. Paying dues second time you fish with club or increased amount if you don’t join: It was decided that non-members who do not sign up as a SCBBBC member by their second Tournament, will have to pay an additional $10.00 on top of the normal $30.00 basic Tournament entry fee. That additional $10.00 goes towards the club funds. The $10.00 Options will remain the same.

17. New – Renew Club Secretary: No One Elected – Position open for volunteers
18. New – Tournament Director: Mike Ayers
19. Renew – Tournament Director Assistant: Scott Beem & Dan Chester
20. Renew – Club Treasurer: Russ Stansbury
21. New Conservation Chairman: David Pham
22. New Youth Chairman: No One Elected – Position open for volunteers
23. Renew – Web Stats Volunteer: Dan Chester
24. New Club Photographer: No One Elected – Position open for volunteers
25. Only one throw out a year (a throw out is posted as 20 points and no more -0 points): It was decided that the two throw-outs would remain as a part of the point’s standings.
26. AOY should be total points with no throw outs: It was decided AOY (Angler of the Year) would be the total points with No throw outs.
27. Add our July tournament to the BNT delta open: It was decided that we schedule around the BNT Delta events during the scheduling for 2006 at the January Meeting so members could schedule to fish both if they desired.
28. Adding a yearly Sportsman Award: It was decided not to have a Sportsman Award.
Well there you go, that is what was discussed and voted on for 2006! It was a long meeting and it was good to see such good participation! Here's to another great season with the SCBBBC!

I have a question for you guys since I plan to fish at least a couple tourney's with you guys next year, delta event(if its on schedule) and invite. Whats the deal with #8

Maybe I am missing the point but if its a legal fish how could i be DQ for weighing them in. cz
