Launching at the ramp is a great idea -- better parking & launching for all, mid-lake access, making both ends more reachable. Man, with the water down so low, doing a full-lake circuit isn't such a stretch this year, eh? (Right, Swimbait? Like you did @ Los Banos last year?)
Good thinking, guys!

IFISH say's,
There's a very good chance I'll be attending, just got to get my happy a$$ in gear.
Hey Paul, since I'll most likely be attending, I'll volunteer my services as the certified CPR guy, man, person we're supposed to have for this event. I heard CZ was the guy last year, and seeing as how I'm a Santa Clara County EMT, we're covered. They gave me a nifty badge and everything. :D :+
IFISH
P.S - And for those ready to fire with jokes, No. " I won't be in the WONG. And I know the right way, and not the " WONG " way to do CPR. " There, I just saved you like 30 second of thought. :+ Also, C.P.R stands for " Cardio Pulmonary Resescitaion ", and NOT, " Constantly Preparing Rice ". :+ :+ :P

The CB&T shop is probably 10-15 miles north of the lake itself, on the *west* side of 101. The lake is hidden in the east hills.
Directions to the lake:
If you're coming from 101, take the 'Leavesley' exit (to the east) in Gilroy, where the outlet malls are.
You then take a left at 'New Rd,' followed by a right at 'Roop Rd.' I believe there are signs at both of those turns, guiding you to the lake. In any case, take Roop up past the homes & ranches, winding up the hill to a 'T' intersection, where you will make a hairpin turn up & to the left. Follow that to the park entrance (past the locked-gate 'Harvey Bear' entrance on the flat space up there). The Coyote Lake entrance is a steep dropdown turn to your left, with a big sign -- you can't miss it. Just follow that in to the paystation ($6?), then continue to the launchramp, about a half-mile into the park.
See you there!
