That section of the lake is owned by Monterey County. There is nothing on there site that says you cant fish the marina. Its my understanding the Marina owner can prevent people from fishing off the marina but not from the water.
This is all just to try and help you guys decide the right decision.

Yeah,I wasn't trying to start anything, but just didn't know if this issue had been resolved.I hope that nobody took offense or got pushed out of shape cause that wasn't my intent.:-) It doesn't really matter cause I don't plan on fishing it but I thought that others might plan on going there. If I did offend or anything then I do appologize,I just want to fish and have fun :7 :7 see ya'll down there,Swampy

Thanks for checking this out John and adding your comments. There is (or at least was) a sign on the gate to the marina says no fishing within 200 feet of the marina which is why the topic came up in the first place.

Clint is right about the sign...But I think it is geared towards big boats. I have fished the docks many times and have not only never been said not to, but have had the main boat rental guy ask how I was doing....so for us, I don't think anyone minds...but if B-n-T rules against it then that is the way it is....plenty more areas to fish.....AND HEY, IT MIGHT EVEN BY SUNNY!!:-)
