First, I would like to say thanks for all who attended the last BNT tournament of the year. Camping like always a good time to hang out and share stories along with food and spirits. You guys are great! As far as the fishing goes, well this is another story.
Question: Why does Mother Nature always play a major roll when BNT is scheduled to fish?
Congratulations Gordon on the win and big fish honors. You showed smooth character under most to be of harsh weather conditions.
I started off tossing a 9”Slammer for the first thirty minutes with no blow ups. Working my way towards the Northern top part of the dam. Switch to a 6”MegaBaits soft plastic trout diving swimbait. About my fourth cast I got bumped. I Quickly tossed back in with a Texas rigged 6” Purple Yamomoto long grub and set up on my first, small keeper. Notice Gordon in his Kayak also battling a catch near and around the dam. I down sized to a Lucky Craft Pointer 78 Minnow. Hooked into another small keeper along with three undersize dinks. Went back through the area tossing a purple worm/long grub. Picking up two more undersize dinks. Worked hard through out the day catching a handful of smaller dinks. Only to pick up another small keeper dragging a 6” straight tail purple with red flake finesses worm in twenty-five feet of water. Conditions tuff, but for the most part what I prefer on game day.

IFISH say's,
I was thinkin the same thing there Joe ! Why do we alway's get the nastiest of weather ? I guess it's there for us to triumph. Anyhow, i'd like to give a BIG THANK YOU EVERYONE who helped make my first season with you guys an absolute blast !!! I've never had soo much fun fishin' ! I've been able to go fishin at many places i've never been before, and learn many different techniques i've never even thought i'd even use. I learned how to make my kickboat into a " CADILLAC " in just a few posts ! The knowledge i've aquired has been more than useful and i can't even wait till the new season starts ! Being a part of this club is more than what i hoped it would be. A special thanks to John Lake for introducing me intially to this fine club. This is the best fishing club i could've ever joined ! B-N-T FOREVER !

Joey + Gordon, Thanks for your guys' reports. I was stunned that the tourney was won on crankbaits! I have only been to Rancho twice but I never got any indication that it would be a crankbait lake. I was also very suprised that no big dogs fell for the plugs/swimbaits. They must have pigged out on the planted trout already before the storm hit.
As for the weather ... that's just a given with B-n-T that we will get the nastiest weather possible :-) Naci, Berryessa, yuk-o.
