Last week, I stopped by John's Food & Tackle Shop on Hwy 12 for a few minutes. (John is the guy who ran the Spring Lake big bass tournie & has the concession stand there.) Anyhow, John is having some serious health problems & sold the store. The new guy asked me what tackle he should buy - he wants to expand the fishing section of the store.

I didn't have time to hang out & give him my recommendations. Plus, aside from Senkos & Brushhawgs, I didn't have any great ideas for Spring Lake & Lake Ralphine. So, if some of you homies have time, you may want to swing by the place & give him some ideas on tackle.

I heard the news about John being sick about a month ago. I didnt realize he sold the store too. I really feel for him and his family. He is a nice guy and his kids (that rented the paddle boats)are good kids too. I miss seeing them when i come in from fishing at spring. They allways asked how I did and what i used and so on. Lets hope for the best.
