I'm 0 for 3 trips so far at Spring.
Today I got on the water late as I had to work for 2 hours this morning and didn't get out of there until 12:30. I got on the lake by about 1:30 and fished until closing. I flipped, cranked, bladed and chucked a swimbait for a while too.
Obviously I need to start doing something different. I talked to one guy who caught a 8 1/2 on a small Castaic trout swimbait and saw another guy dump one he said was about 7. The lake is still a bit muddy with only a foot of visibility.
If the weather stays good, it should turn on there in the next few weeks. It needs another foot of visibility though.

I was out there all day too. Throwing robos, jigs, senkos, castaic swimbaits, brushhawgs, lipless crankbaits and still nothing for me either. I just can't seem to find the fish.:-(

I keep telling myself "this is the last rod/reel."

Man that is brutal. Nice to hear of a couple of nice ones being tricked. The killer Janruary bite that Spring has had the last two years might not show up till February this year.
