I decided to fish my favourite lake on Monday flipping jigs and senko's. Got on the water late, about 11am. I fished the entire shoreline on one side of the lake without a bite then went across to the Marmo's side. I picked up three fish quickly (about five minutes) a 2 lb 8 oz, a 2 lb 7 oz, and a 1 lb 14 oz. All came on a 7" green pumpkin senko pitched to weeds next to tules. Fished my way back to the park without any further action. Never picked up anything on wood which was a suprise.
Water was down some although not nearly as bad as last year. Clarity wasn't too bad, probably about 2-3 feet. I'm not sure why I didn't pick up any fish on the wood but I expect to be going out again for a few hours on Sunday. I hope to be in the water a lot earlier.
