#36230, "SCV Lake Levels - wow, some are pretty low!"

I took a look at the Santa Clara Valley Lakes link (under the 'LINKS' link, above) - man, some of these local reservoirs are beginning to look like trout ponds for kids! Coyote, Chesbro & Uvas @ 30% or less (Guadalupe @ 36%)?!!

What do they say - like fishin' in a barrel??? Sounds like the time is ripe for plucking off some of the big dawgs of the lake(s), since they obviously have fewer places to hide, and the warming trend is inching ahead! :9

Did I hear right, that you can't trailer launch @ Calero right now? I thought the guy must've been mistaken, but now that I see that percentage so low, I'm thinking maybe he was right! 'Course, they can't keep us out with our kickboats, right?

Boy, if it's this bad already, what's it going to look like at the end of summer, without a few extended storms in the meantime? Who-all's up for some south bay bass-kickin'? (Hopin' to get out on Sunday, one boat or the other).

I was at Calero in the kickboat on President's Day and it wasn't that low, people were still launching boats no problem. With the storms we had, I would think that the ramp would still be open.

I can't belive Uvas and Chesbro. It would be a good time to drive by the lakes and get an idea of what structure is under there. I haven't been out there when they were that low. Might be worth a drive by.

Yah, Coyote is the same way. Very, very low.

I fished it a week or so, and there was no bite. The ramp is closed till the lake naturally regains the minimum level for safe launching.

Happy Fishing!
