Hi there fellow fishermen. I was looking around the web and stumbled on your forum. I do some Bass fishing where I live in Durban, South Africa. We have many good Bass waters here. Bass are not indigenous but were introduced to our country from USA many years ago. The official SA record is 13.8lbs. I recently built my own Kick boat and have caught some good fish lately. Thought I would hare some photos.

Thanks for the welcome. The pontoons are made for me by a local rigid inflatable boat manufacturer. I made up the frame with seat etc. I haven't caught on the frog yet, most of my fish I get on soft plastic. Hope to get on the frog soon - I believe its good fun.

Wow, how great is that, looks like you have some buddies floatting around with you. I wanted to ask, is there anything like snakes or Croc's in the area? What is the water temp there? Your boat looks great too....Have fun and welcome!

Hi Bassin
There have been crocs sighted up river but none in the dam. There are many snakes around but they don't bother humans. Today the water temp was around 28 degrees Celsius but I'm guessing as I didn't have a thermometer. The air temp ran up to 37 deg Celcius - it was so hot we had to stop fishing midday and sit in the shade till around 4pm.
