any one know a good socal lake to find small carp in abundance? i have visitors this weekend (mostly kids) and would like to take them fishin, and what better for than small to medium (maybe big) carp. plus i just built a pond and want one or two carp to start out small in it. im in san bernardino county so if you know of anything 1hr drive max, i would appreciate it very much.
San Bernardino Co. is a big county. Where within it do you live? I lived in San Bernardino city near the University for a total of 4 years in 2 different time spans and locations. Bluegill might be funner for your smaller guests. One of the flood control ponds just North of the University used to have plenty of Bluegill and Green Sunfish, it also had plenty of Carp. It was a long walk and may be posted now so do some recon before hauling all of your guests out there just to be disappointed. Tight lines, Wade
Puddingstone L. would probably be your best bet for places that are easy to find. Morris and San Gabriel both have fish but I don't know about the legality of fishing them. Tight lines, Wade
