Took it out on San Luis Res. (since all the south bay lakes were filled to capacity). Couldn't believe how PERFECT it was -- it's usually HOWLING out there, with those 'devil winds.' We practically had the whole place to ourselves, too, which was just unbelievable, on such a beautiful day.
The boat ran great. I left the trolling motor off, since I needed to get the break-in hours on the big motor (a 190-horse, 4.3L Volvo-Penta I/O).
Hope to have some pics for you later this week. We're thinking of heading up to New Melones this weekend, to wrap up this engine break-in deal. I should be able to check out the trolling motor then.
I hope to get some of you guys out there with me, once I get this boating thing figured out. I'll keep you posted!

That's cool. Have fun and keep it conservative when you get used to it. Lot's to learn about boating and always so many little things to remember. I still forget the darn plug in my little boat all the time :-)
