Funny you should ask! lol
Here's a video showing me experimenting with joint positions for my upcoming double jointed models. The two baits shown each have the joints in different locations and neither is painted up or has the fins and proper tails installed. This was just a quick confirmation of having the joints closer to the tail end to get a less
"snakey" action and more a a fishy one.
