If you are hitting the Salt regularly you might look into a wet suit. In a wet suit you will get wet but it keeps you warm. If you take a wave over the back (which may happen on a beach launch even with relatively small waves), they let it right out, whereas waders will fill, so you can't move very fast. Give it some thought.
