I've been fishing these rods for about 10 years and I will admit that they have a limited selection of saltwater blanks but there is no doubt in my mind that these are very high quality blanks. Many don't know this but they used to make rods for Loomis. I fish the 965, 1054, the jig stick and other stick I don't blank number off hand but they all great local sticks. I don't know what you guys pay for these rods but if they are pricy then you most likely paid too much. I buy them at directly from Phenix in the Orange. They do sell to walk in customers. Blanks cost $60 and worth every penny. I have fished these rods on a weekly basis and they have held up for years. I fish mostly Phenix and Calstar rods and sometimes old TrueLines but I think now more than ever there are a lot of companies out there that making quality blanks. That's my 2 cents.
