I have not, however I came very close to buying a certificate. I think I may be able to help you:

You will have to redeem the certificate at a local Ranger dealer. Go to the dealer or call them and tell them you are thinking of buying a certificate. Have them calculate and factor all the costs. Shipping, tax, rigging, out the door costs. Then, use that number to negotiate a price on the certificate. You'll know how much out of pocket you'll have to pay if you buy the certificate for less than the dealer tells you it will.

Certificates can be tough to get financing for too. A $25K piece of paper isn't a lending places idea of good collateral.

All that being said, I think you can legitamately get a good deal when buying a certificate. Also, buying slightly used pro-staff boats isn't a bad either. That's the route I took.
