There's a cool promo going on at Shimano. They had one recently where you could demo a Teramar rod at no charge. Just stop by their headquarters in Irvine and you can borrow a reel at no charge--they include a rod so you are ready to go. The reels you can demo are Calais, Chronarch and Cardiff. After you demo the outfit, you'll get a free Shimano Balanca small duffel bag if you purchase one of the selected model reels at a participating dealer. The demo runs from August 15 to September 16 and the purchase must be made by September 30.
