Ed,
Just an observation I made the other day- I was working on Daniel's SL30 and the eccentric and eccentric jack are total crap, IMO. It's made out of plastic, and I just wouldn't trust a part of that importance made out of plastic. That thing takes a lot of pressure and is a key part to the reel. Also, the dog spring is tiny (the original problem with Daniel's reel was the dog disengaging). I've never fished Sealines, so I can't vouch for their fishability, but from a mechanical observation standpoint, I'd much rather have an aluminum calcutta on my rod.
