Sunday 7/31 I hit the lake for a few hours in the morning. First time fishing in my kayak for months, a little akward but I got used to it. Not much to report, planned on throwing at striper boils early and hopefully getting a few buzzbait fish, neither plan went well.
No signs of stripers,except a few single boils ocassionally, but nothing to throw at, and no love at all on the buzzbait.
Left around 9:30, I only fished Miller canyon.

Today went back with a few more tricks up my sleeve to re-assure
I would'nt be skunked again, a d-shot set-up :P

Paddled straight to Outhouse cove and started with the buzzbait
once again. Nothing. Dropshotted on the outside of the weeds in
20' or so for one bite. Paddled directly across the channel from outhouse and caught two small LM on a DS brown and black worm
w/chartruse tail. Few more missed bites and I called it a day around 10:30,had to be at work by 2. I got spoiled Bass fishing out of a boat, you just don't have the same ability to position your cast or point of view sitting so low in a kayak, well that's my excuse anyway . :+
