Boat lights are all I will use or nothing at all. You want to keep moving till you find fish then slow down or stop. I have had no problems in Night tourneys with the boat lights on. But, I don't think bright moving light is good. If you are still fishing or anchored you are waiting for the bass to come to you right, that may not happen. Find the bass first. Most that use those lights are going for trout or crappie.
Yes there are some big uns at Mc Clure. I have not fished there for a while now but have caught Two over 10 there.
You would do much better with boat lights on and covering some water to find where bass are.
