why clear water fishing is SOOOO hard. i hate it for you guys lol. we started out yesterday in a lake where you could see down to 13 ft or so. we were scanning the shoreline looking for beds/cruisers. i said to my friend man thats a great spot for a bed, and we see this GIGANTIC fish there, along with another half its size. there was a dock right beside it, so we tied to the dock and fished with a low profile from the dock. my friend was on the bank behind bushes, and i was blending in with the boathouse behind, so i was safe. he was pitching a tube at them, i was using a t-rig pumpkinseed lizard. the bigger one kept going and cruising, and would come back later, but the what we thought was a 3 lb male was on that bed like crazy. he had no luck with a senko, fluke, or a tube, but he kept at it. i was determined to get him with the lizard. afer about 45 minutes, i said "watch this". i hit him on the head with my lizard, and the fight was ON. i finally got him in, and HE was full of eggs! lol. it was a female of 7 lbs. when i was bring her in, the bigger one was right on the 7's tail, like following it. what waas it doing? and the 7 had RED EYES?? what does this mean? i am confused now. well we left to give the smallr one peace, but my buddy is going after the maybe 13? today! i hope he gets her. oh the bed was in 3 ft of water. anyy one know why the bigger one was following the smaller one wen i caught it?? or why it had red eyes? we caught a few smaller males and they had red eyes too! well i learned in clearwater bed fishing, irritation is the key! thanks -patrick
