#385, "Lake Chabot - Fish report and warning"

I just wanted to let everyone who fishes Chabot know that tonight my truck which was parked along the road in front of the entrance was broken into and my dash
board chopped apart with a screw driver in an attempt to steal my car stereo. I am new to the area and it seemed safe enough but I guess there's always someone
out there somewhere looking to steal something. The good news is my stereo was iso-mounted so there was now way in hell the moron could have stolen it, the bad
news is they got my CD's, my Sun Micro Id card, and trashed my truck. So maybe paying the 3 bucks to get inside and park ain't such a bad idea...

As fer the fishing, well I almost caught a stinking monster today throwing a 12inch MS Slammer. The fish followed it up twice, the first time to within 6 inches of the
plug but she wouldn't bite. The fish was 12 to 13lbs easy and was only about 6 feet from the tip of my rod when she came up close to the plug. Also had a pair of
6's give it a look but they were just crusing.
