I haven't been to the lake in a week or so, but have noticed the weeds getting thick. I had some luck burning a Rat-L-Trap across the tops a couple weeks ago, but it's probably too thick for that right now. I also threw some other top water stuff, but didn't have much luck.
Will be trying the lake again soon. I've heard that early morning and late in the day the top water bite can be good this time of year, although I haven't found that to be true just yet.
I've seen more and more bluegill close to shore - a nice site to see. I'm glad the lake has plenty of "food" for our bass friends. Lots of fry also in the water - seems the lake is healthy and water levels are up.
Nice to hear you catching them on senkos - I've never had any luck with them myself - but will give it another go next time out - having read some tips on how to rig them from this site :)
