#8878, "Irvine 3/26"

Tried out my new Loomis IMX bass rods--they are so light and sensitive. Fished from 1030 am to 130 pm from shore between client meetings. That 3 hours was worth the $16 as I needed to unwind. Bassing was decent considering I was landlocked--just wandered the shore. Got 5 on roboworms and Assalt salt stix (jerkworm/senko-like things) with pro-cure crawdad sauce. Water is getting pretty clear in spots--more than other day. Water level dropped again--another 1/2 foot by looks of it. "Stop it, water district--you're screwing up the spawn!" Saw a calaveras trout plant today at around noon. Looked like good-sized catchable ones--like 1-2+ pounders, a few larger units mixed in.
