#9111, "April 4, Lake Casitas"

Well today was basically a repeat of wednesday, only slightly less frustrating. After some issues with a bearing on the trailer we got everything squared away and got to the lake around 6:30. It was actually pretty calm in the morning, but the fish were definitely not up anymore. At least not as much as they have been. We looked around quite a bit but found very few big ones, much less a big one we could actually catch. Some time around 10:00 we basically abandoned sight fishing due to wind and started throwing trouts. By 11 it was small craft advisory status and we could hardly hold position with the trolling motor on high. So, we took off at 11:30 and drove through rain on the way home. Brian did catch one male off a bed before it got too windy, but other than that we were basically just window shopping.
