Fished the mighty Otay yesterday with Cameron. It's been a while since I did any freshwater bassin!!
Anyway, we struggled for a few fish all day. Got some worm fish off the ledges, but they weren't great quality or numbers. I missed a good fish on the jerkbait in the middle of a blow-up! Shoots. Cameron got a chaser to eat a spoon on a spinning rod...nice fish...almost 3lbs.
Other than the occasional blow-ups, the fish were hard to find. I flipped and pitched all day! Nothing! The water is real high, and the fish don't seem to be relating to anything we could find. Maybe the high water's got 'em pushed way back in the no man's land of the tules? The grass is growing, but doesn't seem as thick as years' past...
Got back in time to do some partying in San Clemente. Not bad.
