Sort slow, one 3 on watermelon/lemon laminate 5" Senko. Fun fight with a couple jumps and a run for the bushes. Kinda wierd on my end since it was my first fish on a spinning rod in at least 3 years. Didn't really like it, but it will do good for dropshotting.

I finished the night with a real odd catch. I feel this tick (soon after casting), thinking big big bass I set the hook. Instead of being met a solid thunk I hear a screech and feel the line shaking. I had a bat tangled. I'd pull it'd squeal. So, I turn on my flashlight and start to point it at the noise. What I see is bats following my line and pealing off at the last second. I must of had 20 bats do this. They'd only do it when I pulled and their trapped comrade called for help (my deduction based only on whimsy). I decided (rather quickly) to cut my line and retreat for my nice safe house. Hopefully the bat was able to do the same.
