#10586, "The Horseshoe 8-16"

The 3 of us left the marina aound 6:30am. The weather was good. We started out fishing the wall for 1 sandie on a wham, and my dad landed a calico on a 'dine. From there we made our way to where the fleet was--on the 'cuda. We landed 4 or 5 cuda, and decided to move. We fished the HS from then on. Our first stop was our only stop. The calico fishing was pretty good. For a while, we were getting hooked up on every cast. The bite slowed when the anchor wouldn't hold in the wind and we drifted off the spot. We tried to re-anchor, but it just wouldn't hold --we called it an early day. Total count was 62 fish (4 sandies, 4 or 5 cudas, and the rest were calicos (all calicos released).
