You don't have to worry about me. I've never kept a calico and I never will. I've heard they are good but it's just not worth it. I mean you'd have to get at least an 18 inch fish to make it worth the cleaning and at that point they're too old to kill (at least for me). I feel that when there are big white seabass, halibut, albacore, etc. to be caught there's no need to kill a 2 pound calico. I feel the same with freshwater bass.
