#11823, "Manhattan Bch 4-5"

Fished Manhatta Bch (5th st) yesterday evening. Got there at about 6:45 and stayed until 7:45. Couldn't find any sandcrabs so I threw out the MORF grubs. Tide was on the low side, but on the rise. Scored 3 smallish BSP. Maybe about 6 inches at best. Released as usual because not enough meat on those guys to eat.

I mostly fish the South Bay (Hermosa, Manhattan, Dockweiler) and majority of the BSP I catch are usually on the small side compared to what everyone is catching in Santa Monica, Zuma or even Bolsa Chica. This has been the case since last summer. What's going on? Anybody catching the monsters in the South Bay? I use 1 1/2 inch grubs, should I be going bigger, perhaps 2" or 3"?

Anyways, daylight savings is great thing.

Kman
