I just thought would take a minute to mention what an awesome calico/sandbass bite there has been out at the one mile reef,we have been averaging 15-25lgals per guy on my skiff, with lots of 3-4lb fish! This past weekend on saturday myself and buddies Dimitri and Chuck caught and RELEASED! 51 legal mixed bass to 33/4lbs(calico) and on Sunday me Ned and Mike caught and released 72 mixed legals to 4lbs(calico)Ok heres the trick,ALL the fish were caught on the plastic!fish them tight to the bottom! We have been getting our fish on 3-5in big hammers, with dark colors working great till the sun comes out, then switching to greens, browns, and reds, another thing that realy seems to helpis using scents on the plastic. The best bite has been from right at sun up till you loose the morning drift somewhere between 8:30-10:00am ....Larry
