#1930, "Baja fish and camp report"

Camped, surfed, fished....in that order
Did not get a bunch of fishing time in but
1st day..Sallsipuedes?sp 4 fish lost from jagged rocks on 12lb. test. Landed 2small cabazone tried for halibut in the sand and got two small sandsharks. I heard of two kayakers slaying halibut and calicos, and saw one guy with three dead calicos all over 4lbs that he shot and then gave away to some local mexican(barney)
2nd day went to santo thomas point (super cool)We wanted to rent a panga. ($75 2 people half day)
but it sucked so bad because of the wind. It blew sideways at 40 mph for two days. On our last day it stopped but we had to go. We fished protected areas and pulled out 2 cabazone to 4lbs. and a nice calico 3lber.
We bought 4 lobsters from a diver for $11 YUM YUM
