If you do go take a Silver/Black Pencil Popper, White Hair Raiser, some Pro-CURE 'Butt Juice, and maybe a 3/4oz Rat-L-Trap with a chrome body and any color back, last but not least, Renosky Scattering shad in pearl or a light colored big tube,(to imitate Squid). Also your Swimbaits should cover #1*****Anchovy (3-6"), #2***Sardines (4.5-7.5") and #3*Brownbaits AKA tomycroakers (4-8"). The Anchovy pattern 4" should get the most bites, with the brown baits or Squid imitators getting the biggest fish. Don't be surprised if you catch a White Sea Bass or a Halibut.
When you get there from the parking area head N (technically W). There are some rocky areas on the beach, out from these you will find Eel Grass beds and isolated kelp. FISH HERE!!!!!!!and all around here. When I went with Nicolo this is the general area where we got 4 WSB, my Halibut, and I got 5 rockfish (I don't know if Nico got any Rockfish). Another guy a little further out hooked a Thresher Shark flylining Sardines. When we were there, there were thousands of Pelicans in the area with tons of activity. The strange thing was the fish hit when the activity level was low where we were.
