Peter, the whole south coast holds bass at one time or another. While I do have some favorite spots I do not like to talk about them specifically. Creek is a good place and one I do fish. Calicos like rock structure or kelp. even with those present, there may be no biting fish there. Look for kelp that is being laid down by current as the chances of feeding fish are better. try casting next to or between the kelp in the 'lanes'. surge around rocks and over reefs are better than no moving water. calicos are ambush feeders, clear water is bad for their tactics so they feel better hiding in kelp or if no kelp is around, they like off-color water over or near rocks. try fishing the entire water column, not just the surface. use streamers (I don't flyfish so excuse my inaccuracy of patterns) in baitfish colors: darker back lighter sparkle belly and use ones that are about 4-5 inches long--do they tie streamers that big? that size will imitate saltwater baitfish... also, I find better success on overcast days or low light conditions.
