#4822, "Haskell's Beach - 020215"

Took my kid out to Haskell's for about an hour this morning (he was in one of those backpack things) and fished perch with small grubs. The water was a lot cleaner (no loose weeds) than last Saturday so the fishing was easier but still wasn't that great. I only got two small perch on the Motor Oil/Green Flake Grub. Tried for halibut with the Big Hammers for about 15 minutes for nothing - it's a bit cold right now for those surf halibut. Both fish came on a faster than usual retrieve. The slow retrieve didn't produce any bites.
