I've never been a huge fan of Halloween - even though I know it is an awesome color. I haven't really been quite this year and I have been doing pretty well. My overall numbers are down but my amount of legal fish is up and my percentage of legals to shorts has tripled this year.

I was fishing a small high spot that is 13 - 16 feet deep (depending on the tide) surrounded by an area that is about 10 feet deeper. My favorite halibut color depends on the size of the bait. For the 3" I'd have to say 'Chovy followed by Mackerel. For 4 and 5" I'd have to say Silver Sardine, Blue Green Sardine & Keylime.

The sandbar is that big pile of sand & rocks that points North (toward the beach) coming off of the breakwall. We also use several minnow type crankbaits with a lot of success.

Yep - Crystal Ivory. I've been using it since the beginning of this year, along with Izorline Platinum, and I really like them both.
