#10223, "Pita's Point beach"

Sat. 7/5, just got back from Pita's Point beach. Fishing wasn't too good there due to all kinds of kelp and seaweed in the water, every cast came in loaded with kelp. I did however catch one shark. It was perfect for someone big saltwater tank. And for the good news, I discovered that this beach was loaded with sandcrabs,, and just the way I remembered them as a kid. BIG!!!!!! 1 1/2 inches big. Does anyone know if you can keep these sandcrabs alive for any length of time, even if only for 24 hours. Heck, I would go the day before and get them and save them for the next day use if I can keep them alive. Any suggestions. BTW, Pita's Point Beach is where the old oil rigs on the two piers next to Mussel Shoals used to be, just west of ventura about 3 miles. Thanks all!!!
