Oh wait,…that’s right I never did catch anything. I did get skunked.

I got a new flyrod for my birthday, and I wanted to learn how to use it. I left the Jetty Worms and Abus at home and tried to catch jetty calicos on the fly. This endeavor proved to be a bit more difficult than I expected. I was unsuccessful at obtaining a jetty calico. I was also unsuccessful at obtaining a bait barge sandbass, a sand flat halibut, or an eel grass spotty. I was unsuccessful at landing anything.

My fishing partner Craig, did much better. This was the first fish of the day. He named it Kitty Carryall (after the famous doll) and then released it.
