Don't fish piers, I'm not even in that area, (just stumbled onto this site) but.. I read this in a mag. <BR>Tie on a heavy sinker (maybe 6 oz.) onto your main line and cast it out. Then, have a 2-3' leader with a hook on one end, a snap swivel on the other. Pin a live bait, or whatever on the hook, then snap the swivel over the main line... and let it drop. Could even put a slit shot on the leader and if you don't get bit after a while...do it again.<BR>Good luck, Chris
