I am going to be in the San Diego and the Oxnard area from april 20-30 to do some yellowtail and surface fishing. This reel's spool size is the same as a Jigmaster 500. When I used to work on party boats in the 70's people used to take this reel and put a big clutch on the side for faster retrieve, it was hard to come by then but I have one and hav'nt done anything with it all these years.
