Alright guys,
With Marco's help I've scheduled a tournament for July 7, during Semana Nautica. It'll be listed in the Semana Nautica events schedule deal, and apparently the first listing is free, so that's cool. Here's what we've got so far:

Location: Haskell's
Launch: 6:00AM
Entry Fee: $10

That's about it. I don't think we'll go through the whole process of taking everybody's input like we did last time. I would still like to hear comments, but I'm more or less going to go one route instead of trying to please everybody. Calico bass and sandbass will be CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY if we decide to include them as a target species. What we can do is maybe get a few guys together and build up some livewells out of chicken wire (I've got tons at my house), zip ties and laundry bags. I figure we can make em for about $5 a piece or so, and then if we have to we can sell em at launch so that the catch & release deal doesn't hamper the turn out too bad. Halibut, wsb, rockfish etc. will be acceptable for dead weigh in. What we need to decide on is what species we want to target. I think a mixed bag like we were thinking would be good, and then have the point system to balance out the weights. These are details that can be worked out by me and a couple guys, so I don't expect everybody to give input on what the point system should look like (it gets really confusing that way too...). Rob's been generous enough to offer the site as a "rally point" to post info when we come down to the date of the tournament. When we get closer to the tournament we'll make up some flyers and spread em around. I think this tourney has potential for a BIG turn-out. We've got the advertising in the Semana Nautica thing, the flyers, the website... Should be fun. I'm considering not fishing it, and just running weigh in/launch and stuff, but we'll see how the turn out is. Hope you guys can mark it on your calendars.
-Brian

Edit: We'll have a tournament in June before this one to work out any bugs. It'll be a little more low pro, but we'll still get flyers out and stuff.

2nd Edit: BTW, float tubes only.
