I got my yak in the water at sunrise and fished about 1 mile outside of the harbor. It was wide open! I caught about 40 bass, mostly sandies. 2 grumpy sand bass went 3lbs while the biggest fish was a calico about 4lbs. I hooked a better fish which immediately ran for 10 or 15 seconds straight, then spit the hook (argh!). Plastics are whackin' em right now. Note that I fished near guys with bait and they were catching very few fish.

All in all, a beautiful day on the water. The sun came out and it was warm enough to go shirtless. Larry and company was out too and they got a bunch of fish as well (but of course!).
